TIMESTAMP automatic

Hi all!

I have a question about TIMESTAMPs.
Some databases are a TIMESTAMP type that updates automatically
when the record is modified.
M$-Access uses such field to control concurrent access to a table.
Somebody knows if this behavior is SQL standard ?
