Does slony use work_mem?
We are considering to limit work_mem on a per task basis so that
demanding tasks can get more with a low risk of entering SWAP.
(work_mem is used for:
ORDER BY, DISTINCT, merge joins, hash joins, hash-based aggregation,
and hash-based processing of IN subqueries. )
