Hi Sandhya,
Try using two "\" characters if you want to insert on
"\".
For example use
"C:\\ProgramFiles\\SampleFiles\\General\\back.doc"
\b, \r, \t ... have special meanings. Please refer
http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.1/static/functions-matching.html
