Work continues toward replacing ARC with 2Q.  This appears to have some performance benefits.

Evgen Potemkin explained his epic patch that provides hierarchical queries.

There was some discussion on the subject of stored procedures vs. functions.

Pervasive Inc. has contributed an HP DL380 server in Germany to support the PostgreSQL.org network of web resources.   This server will probably be used as a web, DNS and CVS mirror to take advantage of its substantial bandwidth.
