I dealt with this issue for years. It's not a pgadmin issue. In my case I had ipchains messing with me then iptables.
EventuallyCisco. Each time I've moved to a new firewall, I have to re-solve this issue. Unless others are interested,
takethis offline and email me.

Dear PGAdmin support,
We have some troubles with uploading databases to a server of a client on the internet.
If we upload the database the connection drops after several minutes.
We think that the firewall is the problem, but we don’t know how to change the right settings in the firewall.
Type: Zyxell Zywall USG 5
We tried to make an ssh tunnel with putty from the local client with PGadmin to the webserver but the connection also
drops.
If we try to upload from an other computer outside de firewall is works correct.
Do we have to buy an other firewall or can we change the settings of the firewall?
How can we solve this problem? Can you help us out?
